Rambling

I was in Chennai today to visit the Anna Centenary Library - its the kind of project that gives you hope for the country and its reading habits. Its a project on a grand scale, 8 floors of books, both physical and electronic. A separate floor for children's books. Someone has even planned a separate area where the seating style is more comfortable for the elderly. Logu and his team have been beavering away with support from Vibhor and our US colleagues to ensure that our e-books are well represented.

Chennai was hit by Cyclone Laila last night. The first I knew of it was when our plane made its first aborted landing!

One more day at the office and I'm off on leave for a little over a week. I'm going on a safari to the Masai Mara and the Ngorongoro Crater (look it up!). That's something I've wanted to do for the last 40 years. I hope you fulfil your travel dreams a lot faster than I did!
